INSTRUCTOR: CONNIE COMBS

We are incredibly excited to offer this All-Ages clinic with Connie Combs, a 7-time NFR qualifier, 3-time NFR World Champion and record-setting barrel racer, known for completing an incredible 60 NFR runs without knocking a barrel.

This is a truly unique opportunity for our community. Clinics with an instructor of Connie’s experience and caliber can typically cost $500 or more per student, and Connie has generously offered to donate her time so that we can make this experience available to our selected riders on a donation basis. Any contribution, big or small, is greatly appreciated and will help us continue offering opportunities like this to our community.

With only 12–15 rider spots available, we are asking everyone interested to complete an application. This will give us an opportunity to get to know each rider, learn more about their horse and current experience level, and understand what they hope to gain from the clinic.

Our goal is not to select only the most experienced or accomplished riders. We want to thoughtfully create a group of riders who are committed, prepared, eager to learn, and ready to make the most of this full two-day experience. Riders of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply.

IN-KIND DONATION CLINIC

Although there is no mandatory clinic fee, if you are able to do so, we kindly ask that you consider making a monetary donation to help support future clinics and educational opportunities within our community.

There are also many other ways to contribute, including:

  • Bringing a case of drinks or snacks
  • Helping around the arena
  • Assisting with setup or cleanup
  • Lending a hand wherever needed

We truly appreciate any support you are able to give!

RIDER REQUIREMENTS

To ensure everyone has a safe, productive, and enjoyable experience, participants must meet the following requirements:

  • Participants must be available and committed to attending both full days of the clinic.
  • Participants are responsible for trailering their own horse to and from the clinic each day.
  • Riders must be comfortable walking, trotting, and loping independently.
  • Riders should have basic barrel racing knowledge or prior pattern experience. Beginners are welcome to apply if they have solid foundational riding skills.
  • Horses have to be sound and should be reasonably conditioned and physically prepared for two full days of riding and instruction.
  • All participants must complete a liability waiver/release prior to participating.
  • Riders under 18 must have approval and a signature from a parent or legal guardian.

.

We are so grateful to Connie for generously sharing her time, knowledge, and experience with our community. We look forward to creating a positive learning environment where every selected rider can grow, learn, and enjoy this incredible opportunity.
